This is a one-shot of my own game approaching the end of development in which players take the role of a mortal Hero chosen by their supernatural patron or an Unearthly Hero seeking to address some aspect of their 'curse' etc. Together they protect the innocent from a Darknesss rising across the 'Old North' of Britain. This is a gritty, low fantasy, dark-age game so the BBC's ‘Last Kingdom’ and Prime's ‘Vikings’, provide reasonable touchstones for its look and feel. It's a world in which the supernatural is a fact of life and life itself is very cheap, the game can therefore be rich in darkness and foreboding. How dark will depend on how the players approach the game ... We'll be playing with Lines, veils & the X-Card
