The Ghost of Brickpile Castle

It is summer, and your company are on their way to another adventure. Just before dusk, you come to a beautiful, scenic lake and decide to rest for a while. In the middle of the lake you can see an island, on which lies Brickpile Castle.

The peaceful atmosphere is abruptly broken by the sound of a horse galloping along the road towards the PCs. The next moment, they catch sight of the rider, an old man with a long, grey beard and a strange hat.

He holds a staff made of knotted wood in one hand, and his clothes are grey. Everything about him suggests that he is a mage, and he brings his horse to a stop a little way from you. He points his staff towards Brickpile Castle, in a gesture that clearly indicates that he wants the you to go to the castle.

Then, something fantastic happens...
