70% of those that served in Imperial German U-boats during WW1 did not survive their ordeal. The conditions onboard were insufferably cramped and the threat of constant danger made it intolerably stressful. Out of 375 U-Boats, 202 were lost to either to enemy action, accident or other. Amongst these SM U-69 is just another statistic. This is the (almost) true story of its disappearance and the fate of its crew.
